The mother of a Belfast teenager who committed suicide has said drugs and the dealers who sell them must be taken off the streets. Alison Clarke's 16-year-old son, Dean, hanged himself days after taking a large number of horse tranquilisers.
He died in hospital a week after being found on the Limestone Road in the north of the city.
"When I went to the scene I wasn't allowed near him. I wasn't even allowed in the ambulance," she said.
"He had no heartbeat, he had no pulse. the ambulance crew did everything to get his heartbeat back.
"When he got to the hospital he had no oxygen going to his brain, my son was brain dead."
